Italian Chocolate Milk with Cornstarch and Cacao

Ingredients:
- Cacao Powder – 2 tablespoons
- 1/8th of a chocolate bar
- Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
- Milk – 500 ml (or your choice of milk alternative)
- Sugar – to taste
- Vanilla Extract (optional) – ½ teaspoon
- Whipped cream and marshmellows for topping.
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix the cacao powder and cornstarch with a little bit of milk to create a smooth paste.
- In a saucepan, heat the rest of the milk over medium heat. Do not let it boil.
- Add the cacao and cornstarch mixture to the warm milk. Stir continuously to ensure there are no lumps.
- Add chocolate, sugar to taste and vanilla extract if using. Continue to stir until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Once the chocolate milk is heated through and has reached your desired consistency, remove it from the heat.
