Servings:20 pieces

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Chill Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter (plus extra for greasing hands)
  • Chocolate sprinkles, for rolling

Instructions

  1. In a medium nonstick saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter.
  2. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula, until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the sides and bottom of the pan (about 8–10 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Transfer to a greased plate and refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until firm enough to handle.
  4. Grease your hands with butter, scoop small amounts of the mixture, and roll into balls.
  5. Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles to coat completely.
  6. Place in small paper candy cups for serving.

Tips

  • To make rolling easier, keep your hands lightly buttered.
  • For flavor variations, try rolling in shredded coconut, crushed nuts, or colorful sprinkles.
