Ingredients
- 1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter (plus extra for greasing hands)
- Chocolate sprinkles, for rolling
Instructions
- In a medium nonstick saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter.
- Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula, until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the sides and bottom of the pan (about 8–10 minutes).
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Transfer to a greased plate and refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until firm enough to handle.
- Grease your hands with butter, scoop small amounts of the mixture, and roll into balls.
- Roll each ball in chocolate sprinkles to coat completely.
- Place in small paper candy cups for serving.
Tips
- To make rolling easier, keep your hands lightly buttered.
- For flavor variations, try rolling in shredded coconut, crushed nuts, or colorful sprinkles.
